ORTHODONTICS

Examples
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of defects in the development of teeth and small-face
the skeleton. Due to unevenness of the teeth and violations of the dentition, the teeth are difficult to hygienic procedures, are more at risk of early development of caries and periodontitis, and can also cause additional loads of the maxillofacial muscles when chewing, which, in turn, leads to headaches, temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ), pain in the neck, shoulder joint and back. Irregularities of the teeth and disorders of the dentition may also have a negative impact on Your appearance. Thanks to orthodontic treatment, you can improve your oral health and appearance, as well as acquire a smile that will last you for many years.
Curiosity about life in all its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people.

WHAT DOES ORTHODONTICS DO?
Orthodontics is involved in the correction and prevention of violations of the position of the teeth and malocclusion. The formation of the correct bite is not only the aesthetic side of treatment, but also the prevention of the development of diseases of the teeth and jaw. Currently, new designs have appeared that allow orthodontic treatment to be performed with good results in both children and adults. Using modern technology, you can adjust the position of the tooth to the nearest millimeter. Among modern systems for bite correction, removable appliances are used in children with milk teeth and braces are used in children aged 11-13 years with a formed permanent bite. The braces are the locks connected by an arc, which are glued with special glue to the outer surface of the tooth. There is a huge selection of bracket systems: metal, plastic, sapphire braces. The treatment for the braces lasts 1.5-2 years, depending on the complexity of the correction. Types of braces by the material used:
METAL
The most common type of braces. Although metal braces are very noticeable, they have significant advantages: they are durable, relatively inexpensive, do not fade, provide the highest speed of treatment.
PLASTIC
The popularity of this type of braces is explained by their low price and the ability to choose the color of the plastic to highlight the tooth. Nevertheless, plastic braces have serious drawbacks: they often break, they are prone to stains, can cause allergies, they slow down the speed of treatment. Ceramic combines the advantages of both plastic and sapphire braces. They can be matched to the color of the teeth, highly resistant to dyes, do not cause allergies.
SAPHIRE
As a material, artificial sapphires are used. Advantages: invisibility, strength, resistance to dyes, do not cause allergies. The disadvantages of sapphire braces are: high price, they cannot be put to children and adolescents. In children and adolescents, tooth enamel is not as strong as in adults, and since sapphire braces are highly bonded, the enamel of young teeth can be damaged during removal.
TRAINERS
This is a type of equipment used in the treatment of patients with milk and removable bites. A trainer is a kappa (usually silicone) that is worn on both dentitions (double jaw kappa) and controls the ratio of dentitions (or jaws), i.e. the trainer is a positioner. Trainer can be effective. However, more often in complex treatment or, as an alternative, in the absence of the possibility of using biteplates, in a milk or replaceable bite (but not in a permanent bite). As for the correction of uneven teeth. The biteplate "gets" a place for teeth mechanically, using a screw, for example. The trainer does the same "creating the prerequisites" for the normal development of the dentition. It is necessary to clearly understand its capabilities. In addition, the biteplate should be in the mouth round the clock. However, the trainer should be inside an hour a day and at night. The difference is also noticeable.
BITEPLATES
A biteplate is a removable device that controls only one (maximum two) cavities of tooth movement. The biteplate moves the teeth obliquely and rotationally. In order to adjust the position of the lower jaw and individual teeth, a biteplate is required tol hold the jaw in an extended position — this stimulates its growth and development. A plastic biteplate is attached to the teeth using metal arc hooks. Among them there are single-jawed (worn during the day with breaks for food, sports and hygiene) and double-jawed (put on at night) devices. Removable orthodontic appliances are effective for normalizing function, for minor tooth movements, and for correcting jaw growth. The most suitable time for their use is children's age, which is why early diagnosis of dentoalveolar anomalies is important. The success of the treatment depends on the correct choice of the design of the apparatus. IMATEK DENT Clinic uses the latest designs of orthodontic appliances and the most advanced technologies for their manufacture. All removable orthodontic appliances are manufactured in our own dental laboratory, which guarantees their quality and fast production time.
